Eat, Sleep, Repeat
Monday, October 9, 2006 at 01:07PM So you can stream the new Copeland record, Eat, Sleep, Repeat via Spin. They wrote a nice little piece on Copeland as well. It's always really weird to see press about them and stuff. It's been a long time since that review they did of the Copeland/Pacifico split ep in HM where I had to put the writer in his place because he slammed the record after losing his mind over EvAngel- A Beautiful Theme.
I've gotta tell yah, this record is REALLY different. Aaron wasn't lying when he said it's a much darker record. It's rather ambitious of them, I think. Not sure how I will absorb this record. Listening to this gives you a different kind of sad feeling. Normally, like with In Motion, you're kinda sad, but you're tapping your toes the whole way. Aaron also has a way of writing songs that feel very anthemic. I'm not really sure what kids will be begging for at shows other than "Control Freak", which is the single. Maybe "By My Side", but it's really hard to say.
I'm really anxious to see how this record does because of how different it is.
The record comes out on Halloween. If you like what you hear online, buy the dang thing!
